Ultimate-110H:

Ultimate 110H is designed for welding of high strength steel (80kg/mm2), such as USS T-1 & WEL-TEN 80 and steels conforming to ASTM A517. Weld metal combines the desired high level of UTS & YS with notch toughness of high order. Control of diffusible hydrogen in welds at ultra-low levels helps to prevent hydrogen induced cracks.

Smooth and stable arc which is easy to strike & restrike, combined with low spatter and with due control on molten pool.
Slag detachability with little effort.
Finely rippled bead with regular profile.
Welds of consistent X-ray quality.
Weld metal which possesses excellent mechanical properties and displays resistance to cracking caused by heavy stresses and/or hydrogen. In particular, it displays remarkable impact resistance at subzero temperatures down to minus 51°C.
A higher level of metal recovery at 100-105%.
Resistance to moisture pick-up.

Notes on usage:

Heat the electrodes at 400°C for one hour.
Allow them to cool to 100-150°C in the oven.
Store these electrodes in the same oven at not less than 100°C or transfer them to a holding oven maintained at 100-120°C for use directly from the oven.
Ensure that there is no chance of moisture pick-up at any stage.
Keep the arc as short as possible & minimise weaving.
Select preheat & interpass temperature of 100-150°C depending on grade of steel & plate thickness. Control heat input in the prescribed range for the steel used.
