Ultimate-18-A1:

Hydrogen controlled iron powder type electrode yielding a ductile & creep resistant weld deposit containing 0.5% Mo. The weld metal displays creep resistance at elevated service temperatures up to 525°C.
Ease of operation in all positions.
Smooth and stable arc which is easy to strike & restrike, combined with low spatter and with due control on molten pool.
Slag detachability with little effort.
Finely rippled bead with regular profile.
Welds of consistent X-ray quality.
Weld metal which possesses excellent mechanical properties and displays resistance to cracking caused by heavy stresses and/or hydrogen.
A higher level of metal recovery at 100-110%.

Notes on usage:

Use short arc to the extent possible.
Use of DC (+) is recommended for achieving high standard of weld quality.
Redry electrode for one hour at 300°C-350°C before use. (For storage conditions & redrying schedule, please refer to our leaflet on guidelines)
Preheat & interpass temperature: 100°C-150°C for plate thickness upto 10 mm. 200°C for higher thickness. These temperature should be maintained during the entire welding operation.
Postweld heat treatment: Stress Relieving, when required, at 600°C-650°C with minimum soaking period of 30 minutes.
